Join me as I discuss the importance of gut health and how to create fermented foods that are quick and easy, and packed with beneficial microbes. Did you know that we have more bacteria in our bodies than actual cells? Most of these bacteria reside in our gut. They assist in producing essential vitamins and minerals, absorbing nutrients, maintaining pH balance, regulating our mood, and 80% of our immune cells are found in the gut. Unfortunately, our modern lifestyle can contribute to a dysbiosis of our gut which is an imbalance of good and bad bacteria. Things like processed foods, stress, not getting enough sunlight or out into nature and some prescription medications contribute to this dysbiosis.
